The New Neighbours focuses on the following content:
Migratory processes: the aim is for students to understand that migration is a complex process that has always existed throughout history, the reasons for migrating and the emotional and social involvement of migrants.
Discrimination: the intention is to study and discuss the different situations that can give rise to discriminatory attitudes and behaviour.
Citizenship: the idea is to promote civic democratic values and encourage social participation.
These contents are included horizontally in all the teaching sequences on this website.
THE NEW NEIGHBOURS is an educational project to prevent xenophobia and racism among adolescents aged 11 to 14. The cornerstone of this initiative is a comic. On its pages, boys and girls will find characters and stories that invite them to think about the values of citizenship, migratory processes and multicultural social interaction.
